Resumo
O intuito deste trabalho é tratar a forma que os avanços das neurociências podem implicar no âmbito jurídico, abordando suas descobertas acerca do cérebro humano, principalmente da região do córtex pré-frontal, destacando sua relevância para a questão da idade penal. Ao final, verifica-se temas clássicos como a liberdade humana, livre-arbítrio, responsabilidade pessoal e natureza humana, com um olhar filosófico, científico e jurídico.
