Resumo
Este artigo analisa a evolução histórica da Sustentabilidade Ambiental. Destaca essa sustentabilidade enquanto um elemento necessário para manutenção da esfera pública e, portanto, objeto da Política Jurídica. Vislumbra a conexão entre Política Jurídica e Sustentabilidade Ambiental, perpassada pela ética da responsabilidade, pelo Direito e pela legitimidade.

Abstract
This paper analyses the historical evolution of Environmental Sustainability. It shows this Sustainability as an element that is needed to the maintenance of the Public Sphere and, as such, an object of attention to the Juridical Policy. It points the connection between Juridical Policy and Environmental Sustainability in relation with the Ethics of Responsibility, the Law, and the legitimacy.
